About Us

As an AKC Breeder of Merit, I continue to educate myself on better health practices, areas in the breed that need improvement, the history of different dogs and kennels, and anything else I can get my hands on to learn more about dobermans.

I am a member of the Doberman Pinscher Club of America and hold a Board of Directors position in the Pilgrim Doberman Pinscher Club, based in Massachusetts. Getting to work with a group of people dedicated to the doberman pinscher is great. I have been exposed to new events that many dobe owners participate in, and look forward to continuing to support these clubs and the breed.

I also serve on the Board of Directors for the Souhegan Kennel Club as Treasurer, based in New Hampshire. I enjoy participating in a club whose mission is to further the advancement of all breeds of purebred dogs, as well as providing the opportunity to participate in conducting sanctioned matches, dog shows, and obedience trials.

I will not ship dogs or puppies and I will not sell to pet stores or brokers.

We are not currently accepting applications to join our waiting list for our upcoming litters. Other inquiries may be directed to me at AllettareDobes@gmail.com

Thanks for visiting!

Allettare Dobermans was started by me, Angela Ferrari, after my husband Eric and I welcomed our first doberman into our New England home back in 2013. "Pie" proved that the doberman pinscher breed was the breed for me and my family. Spending the previous decade raising, breeding, and showing AKC Champion show beagles with my Mom, Cindy Williams of Honey Pot Hounds, I felt ready to take on a new breed (although I still, and likely always will, have a beagle in my home too). There was a lot to learn about the doberman pinscher breed,

including the importance of understanding the health issues they face, and also about the difference between handling beagles and dobermans. The easy part was falling in love with the breed; their loyalty and trainability won me over out of the gate.

Picking a kennel name was difficult. I have always operated under Honey Pot Hounds with my Mom, but that just wouldn't cut it for a doberman. I wanted something that represented and conveyed the beauty and power of the doberman. I started looking at the definition for various words and their translations into Italian (a way to tie in my husband's Italian lineage), and that is where I came across Allettare. Allettare is the Italian word for allure, which means "The quality of being powerfully and mysteriously attractive or fascinating." It perfectly describes the doberman to me.
